Two windows, and Ukrainian sources give different thresholds — read each separately. Overwintered bugs: 1–2 bugs per m² at regrowth–tillering (Myronivka Institute of Wheat, NAAS, 2021, after V. I. Tanskyi); 2–4 per m² or more at stem elongation (State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, 2025 forecast). Larvae: 1–2 per m² in strong and valuable wheat and 5–6 in ordinary wheat at milk ripeness (Myronivka); 2 per m² in strong and valuable varieties and 4–6 in other crops at grain formation–milk ripeness (Vinnytsia oblast forecast, 2025). Use pyrethroids (Karate Zeon, Decis) for adults, neonicotinoid or diamide for nymphs. In Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Luhansk oblasts, nymph control is usually economic every year.
