About this product
Advion
Advion is a ready-to-use insecticide gel bait from Syngenta based on indoxacarb, an oxadiazine active that bioactivates inside the insect. It controls German, oriental and American cockroaches in shops, warehouses and food-service premises. The gel is applied as small 50 mg dots with an applicator syringe — two to three dots per square metre for low infestations and five for heavy ones. Its horizontal-transfer effect spreads control to insects that never touched the bait, reaching resistant and bait-averse populations.

Chemistry & regulatory profile
Active ingredient
Indoxacarb is a pro-insecticide bioactivated in the insect into a metabolite that blocks voltage-gated sodium channels (IRAC group 22A), causing paralysis and death. Formulated as a ready-to-use bait gel; horizontal transfer through feeding and cannibalism spreads control to insects that never contacted the bait.
Resistance group
IRAC 22A
Rotate resistance groups across seasons to slow resistance build-up

Hazard class
4/4
1 = highest risk, 4 = lowest. Follow label PPE regardless
Application
Rates, windows, expected results
- Application rate
- Gel dots of ~50 mg (0.5 cm): 2–3 dots/m² at low infestation, 5 dots/m² at high infestation
- Window
- Apply year-round indoors when cockroach activity is present; reapply once bait is consumed
