Ramzes

Ramzes is a post-emergence systemic herbicide formulated as water-dispersible granules containing 250 g/kg rimsulfuron, a sulfonylurea. In maize it controls annual and perennial grass weeds and annual broadleaf weeds, including biotypes resistant to 2,4-D. Absorbed through the leaves, the active moves to the roots and inhibits acetolactate synthase, halting amino-acid synthesis so weeds stop growing. Spray weeds at the 1–3 leaf stage with a surfactant, applying 200–300 litres of water per hectare.
