Alfa-Mais

Alfa-Mais is a post-emergence systemic herbicide containing thifensulfuron-methyl at 750 g/kg, formulated as water-dispersible granules. As an ALS-inhibitor absorbed mainly through the leaf surface, it controls a broad range of annual broadleaf weeds in corn, including species resistant to 2,4-D. Apply when weeds are at the 2-4 leaf stage, adding a surfactant to boost efficacy. It breaks down quickly in soil, leaving no crop-rotation restrictions.
