Aqueous ammonia N 20-22
Aqueous ammonia N 20-22 — a liquid nitrogen fertilizer, technical aqueous ammonia with 20–22% nitrogen, for placement in the soil under cereals, vegetables, potato, beet and perennial grasses.
Main advantages
- Nitrogen 20–22% — in liquid form
- Placement at depth — otherwise it evaporates
- Loams: spring or autumn — optimum 10 °C
- Alkaline reaction — changes soil acidity
Overview
About this product
Aqueous ammonia N 20-22 — technical aqueous ammonia (NH3 + NH4OH + H2O), a colourless or yellowish liquid with a pungent smell and 20–22% nitrogen; the composition lists 20.5% nitrogen. The seller advises it for cereal and vegetable crops, potato, beet and perennial grasses.
Because of its high volatility it is placed in the soil at the required depth, otherwise it evaporates; on dry and light soils the effect is substantially smaller. On loams it is applied in early spring or in autumn at an optimal air temperature of 10 °C, on light soils in early spring before work begins.

Questions & answers
What farmers ask most
- Rates depend on crop, prior history and soil analysis. Urea and other straight nitrogen grades are not an NPK complex: a cereal ballpark is often 100–250 kg/ha of product, but the exact dose is an agronomist's call.
