Quantum Calcium (Ca) — a liquid concentrated calcium fertilizer with CaO 209 g/l, nitrogen 126 g/l, magnesium and boron for foliar feeding of fruit, berry and vegetable crops.

Main advantages

  • CaO 209 g/l — mobile calcium, per the maker
  • Nitrogen 126 g/l and MgO 30 g/l — in the same solution
  • 2.0–5.0 l/ha — rate in the maker's table
  • Repeat after 7–10 days — per the maker's table
  • Separately from other agrochemicals — the maker's advice

Overview

About this product

Quantum Calcium (Ca) — a liquid concentrated calcium fertilizer with a high soluble calcium content, enriched with magnesium. It contains 209 g/l of CaO, 126 g/l of nitrogen, 30 g/l of MgO and 2 g/l of boron; pH 4.0–7.0, density 1.40–1.50 kg/l.

Per the maker, the calcium in the product is very mobile and penetrates plants quickly, and the fertilizer strengthens cell walls and improves the suitability of the harvest for transport and storage. On fruit and berry crops, nut, tomatoes, pepper, aubergines, cucumber and cabbage it is applied at 2.0–5.0 l/ha, repeated after 7–10 days.

The maker advises using it separately from other agrochemicals.

End of flowering – until harvest (BBCH 65–89), repeat treatments after 7–10 days

With calcium deficiency (by visual or laboratory diagnosis), for all crops, especially fruit, berry and vegetable crops, treatments are repeated at 7–10 day intervals

For best results, feeding is recommended together with other products under the technology schemes for the crop

Method

Foliar feeding with standard sprayers: spray solution 200–400 l/ha for vegetable crops, 500–1000 l/ha for grapes and fruit crops

Conditions

Prepare the spray solution immediately before application: fill the tank 2/3 with water and, while stirring, add the components one at a time, waiting until the previous one is evenly mixed

Spray in the morning or evening; optimal air temperature 10–25 °C, wind up to 5 m/s

Tank mix

Joint application with plant protection products and other fertilizers is possible; before mixing, check compatibility: a test solution must not form a precipitate, slight turbidity is acceptable

In tank mixes, pay particular attention to water quality and the technique of preparing the spray solution

What farmers ask most

  • Rates depend on crop, prior history, soil analysis and nutrient status. An agronomist sets the dose from this product's label — not an NPK-complex template of 150–300 kg/ha.
