About this product
Otter Forte is a soil-acting herbicide formulated as a suspension concentrate that combines two active ingredients, S-metolachlor at 312.5 g/L and terbuthylazine at 187.5 g/L. It controls annual grass and broadleaf weeds in corn, sunflower and soybean, absorbed mainly through roots and emerging shoots. Apply it as a soil spray before, during or shortly after sowing but before crop emergence; on corn it may also be used post-emergence up to the 3–5 leaf stage. Residual activity lasts six to eight weeks.

Active ingredients
Two complementary mechanisms: S-metolachlor inhibits very-long-chain fatty acid and protein synthesis in germinating weeds (HRAC group 15), while terbuthylazine inhibits photosynthesis by blocking photosystem-II electron transport (HRAC group 5). Uptake is mainly through the roots and first shoots of emerging weeds.
