About this product
Novante is a soil-applied suspension concentrate herbicide from DEFENDA that combines two active ingredients, S-metolachlor (312.5 g/L) and terbuthylazine (187.5 g/L). Working through the soil, it controls annual grass and broadleaf weeds in major field crops such as corn. S-metolachlor halts cell division in germinating weed seedlings, while terbuthylazine blocks photosynthesis through root uptake. Applied pre-emergence at 3.5-4.5 L/ha, it delivers prolonged residual protection with a low resistance risk from its two modes of action.
