About this product
Emerson — an early-maturing sunflower hybrid (105 days), created for intensive and moderately intensive growing with maximum protection against 7+ races of broomrape under protection systems based on tribenuron-methyl (SU). It is distinguished by rapid starting growth, a high oil content and adaptation to different climatic zones; it is suitable for growing sunflower in the rotation on holdings where weeds and parasites are widespread.
Purpose and application Emerson is recommended for the professional growing of sunflower on production and farm holdings in order to obtain a high, stable yield and an increased oil content. The hybrid integrates optimally into protection systems using herbicides of the SU group (tribenuron-methyl) and is an effective solution for fields where protection against broomrape races A–G+ is relevant.
Advantages of use Comprehensive resistance to 7+ races of broomrape to reduce the risk of yield losses. Tolerance to SU herbicides provides reliable control of dicotyledonous weeds without harm to the crop. Rapid initial growth and high agronomic adaptability for different soil types and agronomic backgrounds. A high oil content (up to 56%) and a considerable yield potential (up to 62 c/ha). Exceptional resistance to the main diseases of sunflower. Mechanism of action Thanks to its innate genetic resistance to broomrape races (A–G+), Emerson minimizes the risk of infection and damage by the parasite, which makes it possible to obtain a predictably high yield even under difficult phytosanitary conditions. Tolerance to tribenuron-methyl opens up wide possibilities for the application of SU herbicides for the control of dicotyledonous weeds during the growing season without phytotoxicity for the hybrid.
Features and unique properties An early-maturing intensive hybrid with a growing season of 105 days. Excellent resistance to lodging, to drought and to the complex of the main diseases (phoma, phomopsis, white and grey mould, powdery mildew). A reliable start and a stable yield in different agro-climatic conditions. A high oil content in the seed — 56%. An optimal head size and a large weight of 1000 seeds (72 g). Integrate herbicide programmes using products containing tribenuron-methyl (SU) in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the regulations in force. Carry out regular monitoring of the state of the crops and, if necessary, carry out preventive phytosanitary measures to minimize diseases and pathogens. In arid regions — introduce agronomic measures for the conservation of moisture (optimal sowing dates, mulching and so on). Harvest the hybrid at the stage of technical ripeness, providing fast and high-quality post-harvest storage of the seed. Store the seed material in dry, cool, well-ventilated premises, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and elevated humidity. Why it is worth choosing Emerson in particular Protection of your crops: Resistance to SU herbicides and to broomrape (A–G+). Yield and quality: Maximum oil content and a proven yield potential. Stability: High adaptability and resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses. Predictability: A reliable start and predictable results in different agro-climatic conditions. Ease of protection: It integrates easily into modern chemical protection systems without the risk of phytotoxicity.
