About this product
Sunflower seed Aston (108 days, for Granstar, resistant to 7+ broomrape races) Extra
Aston (108 days) is a medium-early intensive sunflower hybrid for obtaining a stable yield and high oil content even in conditions where broomrape (resistance to 7+ races, A–G) and weeds are widespread. It is intended for professional cultivation using SU-group herbicides (tribenuron-methyl) and is suitable exclusively for growing sunflower.
Purpose and application The Aston hybrid is optimally suited to farms in the central regions of Ukraine that aim for maximum profitability of sunflower production through a combination of intensive protection technology, high oil content and yield. It is especially relevant in regions with a risk of broomrape infestation and for farms that practise an integrated protection system using SU-group herbicides.
Advantages of use A stable yield even under stressful weather factors and in zones where broomrape is widespread. A high oil content (55%) provides maximum profitability when selling or processing the harvest. Excellent resistance to the main diseases — a reduction in the risk of losses and in the costs of chemical protection. Comprehensive seed dressing guarantees a reliable start for the crop from the first days after sowing. Features and unique properties A two-line single hybrid with intensive genetic potential, intended for modern highly efficient agricultural systems. Tolerance of tribenuron-methyl (SU) makes it possible to use herbicides to control broadleaf weeds (Granstar up to 50 g/ha). Resistance to 7+ races of broomrape (A–G): high reliability of the crop in difficult regions. The balanced plant height (165 cm) and head size (20–22 cm) contribute to convenient mechanised harvesting. The seed is already treated with fungicides and micro-fertilizers — full readiness for sowing without additional procedures. Maintain the recommended plant stand before harvest: 45–50 or 55–60 thousand plants/ha depending on the intensity of the technology. To control dicotyledonous weeds, use herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl (for example, Granstar) within the limiting rate specified by the manufacturer — 50 g/ha. Observe the application regulations and the recommendations of the manufacturer of the products. The seed does not require additional dressing or treatment — it is fully ready for sowing. Store the sowing material in dry, ventilated premises at a temperature of no more than +18°С and a relative humidity of no more than 60%. Key advantages High oil content (55%) — maximum profitability of processing the harvest. Resistance to 7+ races of broomrape (A–G) — ideal protection in difficult regions. Tolerance of SU-group herbicides — effective weed control without harm to the crop. A high level of protection against diseases — 9/9 ratings for the key pathogens. A reliable start thanks to comprehensive seed dressing — a saving of labour resources and time. By choosing the Aston hybrid from TOV «TK ART-AGRO», you obtain modern professional sowing material for stable and profitable sunflower production even in difficult conditions — an optimal balance of productivity, protection and harvest quality.

Questions & answers
What farmers ask most
- Optimal sowing depends on crop, zone, and seasonal weather. Winter wheat in the Forest-Steppe: Sep 10–25. Corn: when soil is stable at +10°C at 10 cm depth. See the 12-month sowing calendar at /blog/practice/seasonal-planning.
