Main advantages
About this product
KWS PROGAS — a hybrid winter rye bred by KWS, created specially for silage making. The hybrid provides a rapid build-up of biomass, a high dry matter output per hectare and an excellent green mass yield, while improved NDF digestibility raises the feed quality. Earlier heading makes it possible to harvest the silage sooner, and high winter hardiness (8 out of 9) guarantees reliable overwintering. The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew, snow mould and rhynchosporium, which makes it a reliable fodder rye for livestock farming.
