KWS DUNAI — a two-row winter malting barley bred by KWS with stable malting quality. The variety combines early heading with mid-season ripening, which gives a productive window in the rotation. Its strengths are a very high grading, a high weight of 1000 seeds and hectolitre weight of the grain, which provides even, well-filled grain for maltings. Resistance to lodging and to brittleness of the ear is medium to high, and the yield exceeds that of KWS Scala by approximately 5%. A reliable choice for malting barley contracts.
