BRANDT Reaction K DS
BRANDT Reaction K DS — water-soluble potassium fertilizer with K2O 49.0%, nitrogen 6.0% and sulphur 8.0% for fertigation, especially useful on clay-rich soils.
Main advantages
- Clay soils — less potassium fixation
- Mobility about 6 times higher — per the maker
- Low salt index — for localized application
- Less fertilizer 4:1 — thanks to long availability
- Frequent smaller doses — more effective than rare high ones
Overview
About this product
Per the maker, on clay soils the fertilizer prevents potassium fixation in the clay layers, so potassium stays longer in the soil solution and is available to the roots in periods of greatest need. Solubility and mobility in the soil are about 6 times higher, and the low salt index suits localized application.
It is applied by furrow irrigation systems, through a tank or by fertigation, with a solution no stronger than 500 g per 5 l of water; frequent smaller doses are more effective. Without soil or leaf analysis, for potassium deficiency: mild 2–5 kg/ha, moderate 5–11, severe 11–22 kg/ha.
Application
Rate, timing and crops
Rate
Mild potassium deficiency
- Rate, kg/ha
- 2–5
Moderate potassium deficiency
- Rate, kg/ha
- 5–11
Severe potassium deficiency
- Rate, kg/ha
- 11–22
The dose depends on the deficiency level; the maker advises these rates when no soil or leaf analysis is available
- Method
By any furrow irrigation system, dissolved in water in the tank, or through the fertigation system
Solution no stronger than 500 g per 5 l of water, then into the fertigation system or distribution from tanks into the row or into pots
- Conditions
Frequent applications of smaller doses are more effective than higher doses less often

Questions & answers
What farmers ask most
- Rates depend on crop, prior history, soil-analysis results, and current soil nutrient status. A typical NPK complex on cereals is 150–300 kg/ha. Use the NPK calculator on adam.ua or consult an agronomist for an exact dose.
