About this product
Cat top piston rings are rings that cut, which are inserted into a groove on the outer surface of the piston body above the intermediate and oil-control rings. Piston rings serve to form a seal between the piston body and the cylinder wall which prevents combustion cylinder gases from getting into the engine crankcase, maintains a constant level of lubricant between the cylinder wall and the piston and regulates engine-oil consumption by scraping the oil off the cylinder wall back into the sump.
Top piston ring made of cast iron. The surface is chrome-plated. Outer diameter (nominal): 130 mm (5,118 inches). Emissions control.
