Cat® top piston ring
Description: Cat top piston rings are rings that cut, which are inserted into a groove on the outer surface of the piston body above the intermediate and oil-control rings. Piston rings serve to form a seal between the piston body and the cylinder wall which does not allow gaseous combustion products to get from the cylinder into the engine crankcase, maintains a constant level of lubricant between the cylinder wall and the piston and regulates engine-oil consumption by scraping the oil off the cylinder wall back .
