Full explanation
Ground pressure: IF/VF wheels on a 350 HP tractor — 0.8–1.2 bar; half-track analog — 0.45–0.65 bar; full-track (Quadtrac) — 0.3–0.5 bar. Benefits: (1) +15–20% drawbar pull at the same power; (2) minimal soil compaction — critical for vegetables and root crops; (3) even weight distribution, less slip on slopes; (4) operate on wet/soft fields. Drawbacks: (1) high cost — half-track JD 8RX from UAH 38M [VERIFY]; Quadtrac from UAH 55M; (2) more complex maintenance (track belts UAH 500k–900k, replaced every 3,000–6,000 engine hours); (3) limited road speed (25–40 km/h vs 50 km/h wheeled). In Ukraine: Quadtrac and JD 9RT are in several top agroholdings (Kernel, Astarta, MHP, Nibulon, UkrLandFarming).
