REI is set per product in the State Register of Pesticides under «Re-entry waiting period». Typical values: glyphosate — 4 h (class III), deltamethrin — 24 h (class II), paraquat — 48 h (class I, EU-banned 2020), chlorpyrifos — 48 h (EU-banned from 2020). Requirements: «Pesticide-treated» signs around the field, worker briefing, PPE (respirator, chem-resistant suit and gloves) for emergency entry. Violations → up to UAH 85k fines under Ukraine's Administrative Offences Code, plus criminal liability if poisoning results. For EU 2018/848 organic certification REI does not apply (organic uses no synthetic pesticides), but drift control is mandatory in conventional-field neighbourhoods.
