Horsepower

Also known as: hp, HP

Full explanation

Horsepower (hp) is the traditional unit of power measurement used in agriculture to characterize tractors and combines. Modern Ukrainian offerings range from 90 hp (small farms) to 640 hp (agribusinesses). Rule of thumb: for primary tillage at 25 cm depth, 3–4 hp is needed per 1 cm of depth per 1 m of plow width. Example: a 4-body plow with 35 cm bodies at 25 cm depth requires 150–200 hp.
