Overview

About this product

YaraVera AMIDAS — a granular fertilizer with nitrogen and sulphur. Of the 40% nitrogen, 35% is urea (amide) and 5% ammonium, and the sulphur (SO3 14%) is in sulphate form and fully water-soluble.

The product allows nitrogen and sulphur to be applied in one pass at a ratio of 7:1. Per the maker, sulphur raises nitrogen efficiency and reduces amide nitrogen losses by 35% on calcareous or freshly limed soils.

Both elements are part of proteins, enzymes and vitamins that regulate photosynthesis and sugar synthesis.

Questions & answers

What farmers ask most

  • Rates depend on crop, prior history and soil analysis. Urea and other straight nitrogen grades are not an NPK complex: a cereal ballpark is often 100–250 kg/ha of product, but the exact dose is an agronomist's call.
