Elixir·Macronutrients
AmoSulfan
AmoSulfan — nitrogen fertilizer of the Elixir Premium line with ammonium nitrogen 20% and sulphate sulphur 24% for all crops, especially those rich in carbohydrates, such as maize and barley.
Main advantages
- Sulphate sulphur 24% — directly available to plants
- Ammonium in clay minerals — fewer nitrogen losses
- Ammonium released gradually — slow source of nitrogen
- Alkaline soils — pH to the optimum level
- Lower pH — phosphorus and micronutrients more available
Overview
About this product
The ammonium ion is fixed in the interlayer spaces of clay minerals, which, per the maker, prevents nitrogen losses from evaporation, leaching and denitrification, and it is released gradually. Sulphur in sulphate form is directly available to plants and raises nitrogen efficiency.
On alkaline soils the fertilizer brings pH to the optimum level, increasing the availability of phosphorus and micronutrients. The maker singles out crops with a pronounced need for sulphur, among them oilseed rape, onion, garlic, sugar beet, potato.
Rates: wheat 200–400 kg/ha, maize 300–600, oilseed rape 250–500, sugar beet, sunflower 250–350, soybean 150–300, vegetables 250–600, fruit crops 250–550.

Questions & answers
What farmers ask most
- Rates depend on crop, prior history and soil analysis. Urea and other straight nitrogen grades are not an NPK complex: a cereal ballpark is often 100–250 kg/ha of product, but the exact dose is an agronomist's call.
