Maisi grain bait
Maisi grain bait is a biological rodenticide for controlling mice and rats on crops, hayfields, pastures, orchards, shelter belts, farms, warehouses and around grain storage bags. The grain carries a complex of Salmonella enteritidis bacteria that triggers an epizootic among mouse-like rodents: infected animals pass the infection on to healthy ones. The bait is placed in heaps near burrows or broadcast mechanically on fields, preferably in cool weather. It is supplied as a ready-to-use bait; manufacturer: Biotech Active.

Rates, windows, expected results
- Application rate
- 250 g per approx. 150 m² (5 bait points of 50 g or 50 burrows); 100–500 g per 100 m² depending on rodent numbers; near burrows — 1 teaspoon each
- Window
- Place in concentrated heaps of 50 g near burrows or broadcast mechanically on fields; watch bait uptake and top up as needed — rats eat several times more bait than mice. Application temperature from -25 to +15 °C, best -5…+12 °C; above +15 °C efficacy is lower. The grain may be soaked for 20 minutes (25 ml of water per 250 g) to swell; if the bait is poorly eaten, replace it with sunflower seed, oats, barley, rye or a mix. Wear gloves.
