About this product
The Astronaut Max is a centralised service system for several Lely Astronaut milking robots on large dairy farms. It combines three units in one location outside the pen: a dual-tank receiver unit that collects milk from all robots and pumps it over long distances to the tank, a central CIP cleaning unit and a vacuum unit.
The cleaning unit supplies cold water, hot acid and alkaline cleaning water, plus brush cleaning, sanitiser and udder care products. The vacuum pumps are redundant, so the system keeps running if one pump fails.
