Sahara

Sahara is a selective soil-applied herbicide containing 900 g/L acetochlor, a chloroacetanilide, formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate. Applied pre-emergence to the soil surface, it is absorbed by the shoots and roots of germinating weeds, halting cell division so seedlings die before reaching the surface. It controls annual grasses such as barnyard grass and foxtail plus several broadleaf weeds including amaranth and lambsquarters, giving four to eight weeks of residual protection in maize, sunflower and soybean.
