Banten

Banten — a selective contact post-emergence herbicide produced by DEFENDA in the form of a soluble concentrate (SL) containing 480 g/l of bentazone, a thiadiazine derivative. The active substance is absorbed by the green parts of the weeds and disrupts the process of photosynthesis, destroying annual broadleaf weeds, including those resistant to 2,4-D and 2M-4X — black nightshade, fat hen, pigweed species and wild mustard. It is used post-emergence on young actively growing weeds in soybean and pea crops at a rate of 1,5–4 l/ha; the weeds die off after three to five days.
