About this product

Astrel Max

ASTREL MAX is a selective herbicide in a suspo-emulsion (SE) formulation that combines acetochlor (450 g/l), terbuthylazine (214 g/l) and the AD-67 safener (45 g/l) for maize and sunflower. It controls a broad range of annual grass and broadleaf weeds by soil and post-emergence action, being absorbed through the roots and the first leaves. Apply by spraying the soil from the pre-sowing period up to the four-leaf stage of the crop, providing soil protection for up to nine weeks.

Active ingredients

Acetochlor450 g/L
  • Terbuthylazine 214 g/L
  • AD-67 safener 45 g/L

Soil and post-emergence herbicide. Acetochlor inhibits protein and very-long-chain fatty-acid synthesis in germinating weeds (absorbed mainly via roots and first leaves), while terbuthylazine blocks photosystem II electron transport. The AD-67 safener raises maize tolerance to acetochlor, enabling post-emergence 'rescue' use.
