Full explanation
Principle: discs run in oil, which cools them and enables high thermal loads under frequent shifts. Unlike a dry clutch, a wet clutch doesn't require the operator to modulate — all shifts are electro-hydraulic without a pedal. Typical tractors: Case IH Puma/Maxxum (Full Powershift), JD 6R AutoQuad, Fendt Vario, NH T7 (AutoCommand). Advantages for Ukrainian farmers: (1) durability — 10,000+ engine hours without replacement; (2) smoothness — no shift shock; (3) reliability under reversing. Drawbacks: (1) repair cost when it fails — UAH 150k–400k [VERIFY] due to special ATF oil + disc kit; (2) regular oil changes (every 1,000 engine hours or annually); (3) sensitivity to contamination.
