Term

EXW

Also known as: Ex Works

Full explanation

EXW (Ex Works) is a basic Incoterms term where the seller bears no responsibility for logistics after shipment. EXW pricing is typically 5–15% below DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) because it excludes delivery. EXW suits farmers with their own transport or the ability to arrange carriage themselves. For small volumes (under 5 tonnes), DAP (Delivered At Place) with delivery is usually more practical. On ADAM, suppliers typically quote both EXW and DAP prices so the buyer can pick the best option.
