EDRPOU (Ukrainian «Єдиний державний реєстр підприємств та організацій України») is assigned by the State Statistics Service on legal-entity registration. Individual entrepreneurs (ФОП) use a 10-digit tax ID (RNOKPP) instead. Public counterparty verification at usr.minjust.gov.ua returns: name, code, status (active/terminated), registration date, director, legal address, NACE activity codes, and annual financial statements (for mid-size and large enterprises). ADAM verifies every vendor via a live EDRPOU check. For farmers selling grain, verifying the buyer's EDRPOU is essential before accepting a deposit (a common 2024–2025 fraud scheme involves a shell company used for 1–3 months then dissolved). EDRPOU is also required for direct contracts with EU buyers under the DCFTA — TRACES-NT cross-references EDRPOU to verify the exporter.
