Full explanation
Common Rail delivers 3–5 injection events per stroke (pilot, main, post), cutting noise, fuel use by 8–15% and NOx emissions by 20–30% versus legacy in-line pumps. Main suppliers: Bosch (CP3, CP4, CRI2, CRI3), Denso (G3, G4), Delphi. Ukraine's issue is peripheral fuel quality — sulphur often >400 ppm against the EURO-5 10 ppm limit, plus winter water/paraffin contamination — which destroys CP4 pumps in 500–1,500 engine hours instead of the rated 8,000–10,000. Mandatory fuel standard: DSTU 7688:2015, ideally with OKKO/WOG certification. Filtration: two-stage (primary 30 µm + secondary 2–4 µm) with β4 ≥200 on the secondary. Common Rail injector rebuilds at certified shops (CRT-Bosch Centers in Ukraine) cost USD 1,200–3,500 per set.
