Term

Agricultural leasing

Also known as: agri leasing

Full explanation

Two types: (1) FINANCIAL LEASING — lessee becomes owner after all payments, 90%+ of the market; (2) OPERATIONAL — machinery returns to the lessor at term end, rare (<10%). Typical April 2026 terms for a 200 hp John Deere 6215R at USD 180k: (1) 20–30% advance (USD 36–54k), (2) 5-year term, (3) 9–15% p.a., (4) monthly or quarterly payments USD 2,800–3,800. Advantages vs credit: (1) faster approval (7–14 days vs 30–60 for a bank), (2) machinery as built-in collateral, (3) earlier VAT credit recovery. Leading Ukrainian lessors: Ukragroleasing (10,000+ units portfolio), Ukrleasing, OTP Leasing, Credit Agricole Leasing, ALD Automotive. In 2025 Ukraine's agri-leasing market was ~USD 1.2 billion, +8% vs 2024. Integrated with the 5-7-9 programme.
