Overview
About this product
Urea N 46.2 — a CO(NH2)2 nitrogen fertilizer with a nitrogen mass fraction of not less than 46% calculated on dry matter and biuret not more than 1.40%. It is applied as a pre-sowing fertilizer on all soils and for feeding row and vegetable crops with immediate incorporation into the soil, because otherwise nitrogen can be lost through ammonia volatilization.
The seller also advises it for foliar feeding of all crops. At first urea acts as a slightly alkaline fertilizer, so it is effective on acid and slightly acid soils.
The figures are given for crystalline and granular urea; the seller does not state the form of this item.

Questions & answers
What farmers ask most
- Rates depend on crop, prior history and soil analysis. Urea and other straight nitrogen grades are not an NPK complex: a cereal ballpark is often 100–250 kg/ha of product, but the exact dose is an agronomist's call.
