Cytokinin Paste
Cytokinin Paste is a garden and houseplant product that speeds up new bud formation and growth and stimulates flowering and propagation of orchids, saintpaulias, succulents, roses, citrus and other plants. The paste, warmed to room temperature, is applied in a thin layer to a lightly scratched bud cleared of dry scales, or to a stem scratch where a new shoot is wanted. It is not applied to small, young or sick plants, shoot tips or roots, and only two or three points are treated at a time.

- Application rate
- A small amount of paste in a layer of about 1 mm per bud or scratch; no more than 2–3 points at a time
- Window
- Warm the paste to room temperature. To awaken a bud, remove the dry scales with a sterile needle, lightly scratch the surface and apply the paste; for a new bud or offshoot, scratch the stem at the chosen spot and cover the scratch with paste. Buds break on day 7–10, new buds form on day 10–14 depending on tissue density; in hot weather, if there is no result, repeat no sooner than 2 weeks later. Treat outdoor plants during active growth. Do not use on small, young or sick plants, on shoot tips or where fresh shoots already exist, or on roots.
