Overview
About this product
The Gecko is a four-row trailed potato planter for early potatoes, on which workers place sprouted seed tubers onto planting belts by hand without damaging the shoots. Boxes of seed potatoes ride on pallets on the loading platform, and a separate worker swaps full boxes for empty ones.
Planting distance is changed by swapping gear pairs, and the planting mechanism is driven mechanically. Furrow openers cut the furrows and covering discs close them, while the tractor supplies hydraulics for lifting, row markers and drawbar steering.
