Pioneer P9279 is a single-cross (single) dent corn hybrid from Corteva with FAO 320, of the medium-maturity group. It is positioned as a drought- and stress-tolerant hybrid with excellent moisture release at harvest and consistently high yield. The hybrid offers good stem and root lodging tolerance, a pronounced stay-green effect, and high overall disease tolerance, with 6/9 resistance to smut diseases. It suits monoculture, minimum tillage and late harvesting; end uses are grain, alcohol, silage and biogas.
