PETRONAS Syntium 7000 Hybrid 0W-20 is a fully synthetic oil developed on the basis of CoolTech+ technology, which is the newest fluid technology. This technology effectively reduces friction between moving parts in order to reduce heat generation, offering improved wear protection and optimal engine efficiency throughout the full drain interval and delivering optimal performance with lower fuel consumption and emissions. The constant switching between the internal combustion engine (ICE) and the electric powertrain increases the load on and the demands made of a hybrid car's engine. When the engine constantly stops and starts in this way, friction between engine parts increases, which causes excessive heat generation, which leads to increased fuel consumption and emissions, increased wear and the risk of engine failure. It is developed to provide protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) for direct-injection turbocharged cars running on petrol, and meets the latest API SP specifications.
