About this product
Klaus (107 days) — an early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed specially for growing under the Clearfield technology with the application of herbicides of the Euro-Lightning type. The hybrid combines high resistance to diseases, plasticity to changes in agro-climatic conditions and stable productivity. It is ideally suited for growing sunflower with maximum oil content and yield on different soils and in zones with different moisture levels.
Purpose and application The Klaus sunflower hybrid is recommended for intensive growing in the Clearfield system using herbicides of the imidazolinone group, such as Euro-Lightning. It is especially effective on farms where there is a need to control a wide spectrum of weeds and to obtain consistently high yields on fields with varied soil and climatic conditions.
Advantages of use Tolerance to the herbicides of the Clearfield system (IMI) and adaptation to the conditions of application of Euro-Lightning. High resistance to the main disease pathogens (phoma, phomopsis, white and grey mould, powdery mildew), and also to broomrape races A–G. Excellent initial growth energy, which provides even emergence even in stressful situations. A stable average yield and a potential of up to 58 c/ha under intensive technologies. Mechanism of action Thanks to its genetic tolerance to imidazolinones, Klaus makes it possible to control weeds effectively with products of the Euro-Lightning type (1–1,2 l/ha) without the risk of phytotoxicity for the crop. Treatment with fungicides (carbendazim, metalaxyl-M) protects the seed against initial infections, guaranteeing protected and uniform emergence.
Features and unique properties A two-line single-cross hybrid with intensive growth dynamics. Exceptional plasticity to stress factors and extreme weather conditions. Seed treated with a polymer dye – fully ready for sowing. Increased drought resistance and lodging resistance (ratings 8–9). Recommended for high-yield growing in all regions of Ukraine. Technical specifications Originator LLC «TK ART-AGRO» Hybrid name Klaus (107 days) Technology type Clearfield (Clean field) Herbicide tolerance The imidazolinone group (IMI), Euro-Lightning – 1–1,2 l/ha Growing season 105–107 days Hybrid type Two-line single-cross Resistance to broomrape A–G Plant height 165 cm Head diameter 20–23 cm Weight of 1000 seeds 70 g Seed oil content 52 % Initial growth energy 8 (on the manufacturer's scale) Lodging resistance 9 Drought resistance 8 Tolerance to the main diseases Phoma – 9, Phomopsis – 9, White rot – 9, Grey mould – 9, Powdery mildew – 9 Average yield 36 c/ha Yield potential 58 c/ha Density at harvest 45–50 thousand/ha; 55–60 thousand/ha Seed treatment Treated with carbendazim and metalaxyl-M, coloured with a polymer dye Packaging Paper bag, 150 000 seeds (1 sowing unit) Application recommendations Sow in accordance with the Clearfield technology with the application of IMI herbicides according to the permissible tolerance of the hybrid (Euro-Lightning – 1–1,2 l/ha). The choice of sowing density depends on the fertility of the soil and the technology: 45–50 thousand/ha for extensive technologies, 55–60 thousand/ha — for intensive ones. Store the treated seed in dry, well-ventilated premises until the moment of sowing. Observe the recommended depth and dates of sowing for each region in accordance with local agronomic practices. Monitor the fields for the presence of broomrape and diseases for the prompt application of agrotechnical or fungicidal protection. Advantages of the Klaus hybrid Maximum compatibility with the Clearfield system and protection against Euro-Lightning herbicides. Benchmark resistance to the main diseases of sunflower and to broomrape (races A–G), a guarantee of stable yields. A yield potential of up to 58 c/ha and a high oil content (52%) for maximizing profitability. Improved starting growth energy, resistance to drought and to lodging — ideal for different agro-climatic zones. The seed is already treated and coloured — ready for sowing and protected against initial infections. Choose Klaus — a confident investment in the yield, resistance and adaptability of your farm, which meets the highest requirements of modern agricultural production.
