About this product

Mannol spray Belt Tensioner 9897

Belt Tensioner – a product for the care of drive belts: it quickly, safely and effectively eliminates extraneous noises (squeaking, whistling and the like) and belt slippage, cleans them of contamination, removes traces of oil, restores elasticity and protects against drying out and cracking. It is used for drive belts, alternators, air conditioners, power steering units and other assemblies.

Properties:

reduces wear of belts and pulleys, prevents their ageing and thereby extends their service life;increases the efficiency of the belt drive;reduces noise while the engine is running;particularly effective for eliminating slippage of old belts when there is no possibility of replacing or tensioning them;suitable for V-belts and poly-V belts, not suitable for flat belts;for belts made of leather, of various fabrics impregnated with rubber or balata, of chemical fibres, of kapron, of polyurethane and other synthetic materials;regular use of the product extends the service life of belts by 1.5–2 times. Application

Stop the drive. From a distance of approximately 20 cm spray a small amount of the product onto the pulley under the side surfaces of the belt and/or directly onto the side surfaces. Turn the belt drive through at least one full revolution of the belt so that the product is distributed evenly over its surface. Repeat the procedure once or several times if you want to achieve a greater thickness of the protective layer. After applying the last layer, leave it to act for 10 minutes before starting the engine again.
