The MT242HEC is the cab version of the MT2E-series compact tractor, with a 42.5 hp four-cylinder YANMAR diesel and factory air conditioning. The engine uses Common Rail injection, and the three-range hydrostatic transmission changes speed without gear shifts, which helps in front loader work.
An independent PTO and a Category I three-point hitch with position control take mounted and PTO-driven implements. A pair of remote valves is standard.
