SERIE 8-270 V-Shift is a Serie 8 tractor for large farms and agricultural contractors, with a V-Shift continuously variable transmission and a six-cylinder FPT Stage V engine rated at 250 hp. The front axle has parallelogram suspension, and the Smart Cab rides on electronically controlled electrohydraulic semi-active suspension.
V-Shift varies speed steplessly across four ranges, with transmission and implements run from the EasyPilot armrest and DSM touch screen. A CCLS piston pump feeds the electrohydraulic remotes, and PSM steering with ISOBUS is optional.
