Grozny

Grozny — a post-emergence systemic herbicide in the form of water-dispersible granules containing 750 g/kg of tribenuron-methyl, an active substance of the sulfonylurea class. It controls a wide spectrum of annual dicotyledonous weeds in crops of small-grain cereals such as wheat, barley and triticale. Being absorbed by the leaves and the roots, the substance inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase, stopping the growth of the weeds soon after treatment. The product is applied post-emergence at a rate of 15–25 g/ha, when the weeds are small and growing actively, at the tillering — stem elongation stage of the crop.
