Yurek was bred on the MSL hybridisation platform. The maker calls it one of the first DSV hybrids to combine resistance to turnip yellows virus (TuYV) with genetic resistance to phoma based on the RLM-7 gene.
The maker also states tolerance of verticillium wilt. The balanced habit allows better spraying at flowering, which, per the maker, improves control of sclerotinia.
