DKS 3796 — a mid-early Dekalb maize hybrid with FAO 270, suitable for grain and silage use. It combines good drought and cold resistance (8/9 each) with initial growth energy and resistance to stalk and ear fusarium at the level of 9/9, as well as good moisture release at harvesting. Recommended for zones of sufficient and unstable moisture, it grows on most soil types, except heavy clay and sandy ones, requires a high level of mineral nutrition, and withstands monoculture and prolonged standing in the field before harvesting.
