Efimer

Efimer — a post-emergence systemic herbicide in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) containing 905 g/l of the 2-ethylhexyl ester of 2,4-D, a phenoxy active substance with auxin-like action. It controls annual and some perennial dicotyledonous weeds in small-grain cereal crops and maize. The active substance moves systemically through the leaves into the meristem tissues, disrupting protein biosynthesis and the hormonal balance. It is applied post-emergence at a rate of 0,6–0,8 l/ha on actively growing weeds; it also curbs resistance to sulfonylureas and does not restrict crop rotation.
