Cylinder sleeve
Description: Cylinder sleeves are installed in cylinder blocks and prevent wear of the pistons in the cylinder bores.
Characteristics: On the inner surface a uniform sleeve mesh is used, which speeds up the process of lapping the rings and provides proper ring sealing, uniform oil distribution and a long service life. Finishing roll-forming of the flanges into a radius is carried out to increase strength and resistance to cracking. Parts made of high-quality heat-treated grey cast iron provide exceptional strength and durability. A controlled flange head thickness provides precise lapping of the block and the head. Precision manufacturing tolerances provide perfectly round bores for effective oil control and the correct seating of the Cat® cylinder block.
