About the brand

New Holland was founded in 1895 in the US as Abraham Zimmerman's New Holland Machine Company, originally producing mills and grain cleaning machines. Through the 20th century the range expanded. In 1986 it merged into Ford New Holland, and in 1999 joined CNH Industrial alongside Case. New Holland is traditionally strong in hay and forage equipment — hay mowers, silage harvesters, and balers (Speedrower, BigBaler, ProBelt). The tractor range covers 23–700 hp (Boomer, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9 series), with CR combines using classical straw-walker threshing. Engines are FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies), shared with Case IH. Unlike Case IH, New Holland has historically targeted Europe and mid-size farms — 200–2,000 ha with a mixed specialization (grains + livestock + forage).

Presence in Ukraine

New Holland has been active in Ukraine since 1996 through a network of 6 official service centers in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Lviv, and Dnipro. The main distributor is also BV Broker — the same as Case IH, since both brands are owned by CNH Industrial and share infrastructure. In Ukraine, New Holland is strongest in hay/forage and dairy farms in Polissia and Western Ukraine — regions with mixed farming. The T7 series tractors (190–250 hp) are popular on 500–1,500 ha farms, T6 (115–175 hp) on small farms. CR combines hold a stable 10–15% of the market. On ADAM in April 2026, New Holland spare parts are quoted by 2–3 distributors; average response time is 8.3 hours (slightly slower than Case IH due to a smaller network). New equipment pricing is close to Case IH (both brands share engines and transmissions), but New Holland offers a broader hay/forage selection where competitors are limited.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between New Holland T7 and Case IH Puma?
New Holland T7 and Case IH Puma are effectively the same tractor in different paint and cab trim. Both are built on the CNH Industrial platform in Basildon (UK), share FPT NEF engines, and use the same Auto Command transmission. The difference is positioning and service network: T7 is more often bought by mixed-farming operations, Puma by large grain growers.
Is New Holland strong in hay and forage?
Yes — hay and forage is historically New Holland's strongest segment. The lineup includes Speedrower mower-conditioners, BigBaler round balers, FR Forage Cruiser silage harvesters, and BR pick-up balers. For dairy farms and cattle feedlots, New Holland is typically the first choice in premium forage equipment.
How much does New Holland T7.270 cost in Ukraine in 2026?
In April 2026, a new New Holland T7.270 (270 hp, MFWD, Auto Command CVT) costs 5.7–6.3 million UAH in Ukraine including VAT. That is close to a Case IH Puma 240/260 — within 3–5%. On the secondary market, 2019–2021 models run 3.8–4.4 million UAH.
Where do you service New Holland in Ukraine?
New Holland has 6 official service centers in Ukraine (Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Lviv, Dnipro). The average distance from a farm to the nearest center is 150–220 km, slightly higher than Case IH or John Deere. For emergency repairs, an official service contract with your dealer is recommended.
