About the brand
HORSCH Maschinen was founded in 1984 by Michael Horsch, a Bavarian farmer-innovator who started developing his own equipment after frustration with existing seeders and cultivators. His first product — a disc harrow for minimum tillage — became a commercial hit among Bavarian farmers. In 40 years HORSCH grew into one of Europe's most innovative tillage and seeding equipment makers with annual turnover above €700 million and 3,000+ employees. The brand's core idea is precision farming without excessive tillage: Mini-Till, No-Till, and Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF). Pronto seeders deliver seed placement accuracy within 1 cm at 2-8 cm depth, which gives 5-8% more uniform emergence and yield uplift over standard seeders. Joker and Cruiser cultivators are the benchmark in disc harrows and stubble cultivators: up to 15 m working width, up to 15 km/h speed, and 20 ha/h throughput.
