About the brand
Balkrishna Industries (BKT) was founded in 1987 in Mumbai, India as a maker of industrial and agricultural tires for developing markets. In 35 years the company became one of the world's five largest off-highway tire producers with $1 billion+ revenue and 5 Indian factories. BKT's strategy: offer radial tires at 30-40% below Michelin, Trelleborg, and Continental while delivering 85-90% of their performance. This is achieved through lower Indian manufacturing costs, aggressive automation investment (the Bhuj plant is one of the world's largest tire factories), and focus on high-volume sizes. Agrimax RT 765 is the flagship: a radial tractor tire with IF technology (Improved Flexion) that reduces soil compaction by 15-20% at the same load. Tread life is 5,000-7,000 engine hours — 15-20% below Trelleborg TM 900, but the price gap pays back in 1.5-2 seasons.
