Overview

About this product

Marcamo — an early-maturing maize hybrid, FAO 170, with flint-dent grain for use as grain and silage. The maker calls it highly adaptable to unfavourable weather and climate conditions and notes very early ripening, very fast growth, high cold tolerance and the option of sowing at different dates.

The ear has 12–14 rows of 30–32 kernels. It can be sown at early, optimal and late dates.

The hybrid is poorly suited to continuous maize and is not intended for late harvest. The maker recommends 80–85 thousand/ha with sufficient moisture, 70–75 with unstable moisture and 55–60 with insufficient moisture.
