Overview
About this product
Patras is a distinctly ear-type variety that builds its yield through a high grain count per ear and thousand-seed weight. The maker calls its winter hardiness comprehensive and its grain fill quick, which makes the variety stable at high temperatures.
Mid-season maturity is combined with valuable-class flour quality. It is recommended for early and optimum sowing dates; on light soils seeding rates should be kept low.
The variety is adaptable to practically any preceding crop, including sunflower, and resistant to diseases, especially snow mould. It is a suitable preceding crop for maize, rapeseed, turnip and cereals.
