About this product

Engine oil Mercedes-Benz 229.52 5W-30

Mercedes Daimler 5W-30 229.52 is a Premium-class engine oil produced in Germany by directed organic synthesis, and it is a synthetic engine oil based on polyalphaolefins. The high thermal stability of the synthetic base prevents oxidation of the oil and, thanks to its particular properties, extends service change intervals to 20 000 km. It reliably protects the engine under extremely severe operating conditions, including operation of vehicles in the urban "Start-Stop" cycle. The 5W-30 viscosity range makes it possible to use the fully synthetic Mercedes Benz Motor 5W-30 engine oil all year round, including in winter.

Advantages:

instant lubrication of all critical assemblies and parts of the engine at the "cold start" stage;fuel savings of up to 8% compared with a conventional mineral oil;prevention of carbon and lacquer-like deposits that impair heat removal from the pistons and the moving piston rings;neutralisation of acids formed during fuel combustion;it is a Low SAPS oil;the phosphorus content of the product is only 0.08%, sulphated ash 0.8%, and sulphur no more than 0.2%. Manufacturer approvals:

MB 229.52; MB 229.51; MB 229.31 Specifications:

ACEA C3; API CF, SM

What farmers ask most

  • Match the API/ACEA classifications shown in the specs against your engine manufacturer's recommendation (in the service manual). Tier 4 Final diesels require low-SAPS or mid-SAPS oils — this is always called out in the name.
